Since we all came from different backgrounds and had different experiences and interests, it was hard to come together as a team with the same goal of making the community that had shaped us better in the beginning. But as we learned more about who we were as a group and listened to each other's stories, we found that we all had the same ground of valuing self-worth and respect. This is the thing that connects us all. It became clear that these important things were being taken away from women in South Sudan, where one of our members is from, and we knew we had to do something about it. Together, our minds and hearts devised a plan to give women in South Sudan the freedom and opportunities that are rightly theirs. All of our hearts are in this aim.
